Founded by Kate Luthra, Velvet & Valor is shaped by her path from the Scottish countryside to London’s corporate world — and ultimately refined in the UAE, where her return to riding marked a pivotal new chapter.

Surrounded by a culture that deeply respects and celebrates the horse, she rediscovered the essence of the sport: discipline, strength, humility, and quiet confidence. Returning to riding brought clarity — a powerful reminder of the trust and connection between horse and rider, unlike anything else. It also reinforced the importance of presence, and the power of being willing to fail, learn, and grow through consistency.
